Hot Mai Tai

  • 1.5 oz Plantation dark rum

  • 0.5 oz Plantation OFTD

  • 0.5 oz orgeat syrup

  • 0.75 oz dry curaçao

  • 0.5 oz lime syrup

  • 1.5 oz hot water

Pour ingredients into a heated mug. Grate nutmeg or pecan on top if you’d like.

This drink can also be made with black tea in place of the hot water.

The key to converting icy tiki drinks to hot is using more hot water to make up for the dilution you would get from crushed ice.
